‘Taking our children for a ride’ – new report from the Soil Association and Organix (Soilassociation)

‘A new report shows that food and drink may be the least thrilling part of a visit to some of our top tourist attractions this Bank Holiday weekend.

The report is based on the findings of a ‘secret mum’ researcher who visited 14 leading tourist attractions in England and Wales earlier this summer. The venues, which include Alton Towers, Legoland and London Zoo, were ranked according to their provision of a choice of basic, healthy food and drink options like fresh water and fruit, and the choice of a meal deal for children which included a portion of fruit and vegetable and a healthy drink. Depressingly, only 2 of the 14 attractions scored over half marks.’
